How Projects Look: An Overview

Everything you need to know when you land in a project.

Updated this week

The Project View displays all of the images and documents that have been uploaded to a project. It is the portal to Markup View, where comments and markups are made.

An example of a project.

Project collaborators are independent to the project to which they were invited. They cannot access other projects on your dashboard unless you invite them, and they cannot create projects that count against your workspace's storage unless they already have a workspace seat on your workspace. To learn about workspaces, click here. To learn about project roles and permissions, click here.

Images

Images are displayed as thumbnails in the Assets tab, which is where you'll automatically land when entering a project. Thumbnails contain important information about the image, including round number, custom labels, and tags (such as when there are unresolved comments). To learn about the symbols on thumbnails, click here.

Accepted File Types:

  • JPG

  • TIF

  • PSD

VeryBusy does not accept .zip files. CR2, or NEF, and ARW Raw files are in beta.

Folders

Within a project, you can create folders. Folders allow you to organize your project however you'd like, such as by date, type or status.

To create a folder:

  1. Click the blue New button

  2. Choose "Create Folder" or "Folder Upload"

You can also drag and drop a folder from a hard drive into a VeryBusy project, and it will be uploaded to the project.

Documents

The Documents Tab is a shared view accessible to all project collaborators. It serves as a central repository for important project documentation, such as vector files, creative decks, and color references. Uploaded documents can be downloaded and viewed by any project member.

Accepted File Types:

  • .indd

  • .ai

  • .doc

  • .docx

  • .csv

  • .xls

  • .xlsx

VeryBusy does not accept .zip files.
