VeryBusy is where you can review images, leave retouch notes, mark up details, and approve images. This guide covers the basics so your feedback is easy for the retoucher to follow.
First thing's first...
See a screen with image thumbnails? Double-click any thumbnail to see the image full-size and to begin commenting and marking up. Then, you can use the left/right arrow keys to navigate to other images inside the project.
How to annotate an image
Inside of the project you were invited to, double-click the image thumbnail to see it full-size
Zoom in if needed to check details closely
Click directly on the image to leave a markup, then start typing to leave a comment (each markup must have a comment; comments don’t require markups)
Best Practices for leaving notes
To help prevent anything from getting missed, keep notes focused and easy to track.
Leave each retouch note as its own comment when possible
Keep each comment focused on one issue or area
Use a markup when you want to call out very specific detail
Let the retoucher know when you have completed all of your markups on a image or revision round by adding a label to the image (e.g., "Ready for retouching")
When you're finished with comments and markups, the retoucher will mark each comment as "resolved".
Good to know:
Comments are threaded, meaning they will automatically appear chronologically. Also, when the retoucher reviews your comments that have markups, he/she can click on the comment to zoom into the markup, so it's best to keep markups focused on one particular area.
How to upload a reference document
If you want to attach a reference file or document:
Click the paper clip icon in the box where you type comments
Find the file on your desktop
Upload it there as a reference
Important:
Do not drag a file directly into the image area if you are trying to add a reference. Dragging a file there will replace the image that was already uploaded rather than attach your file as reference.
How to review revisions
VeryBusy automatically stacks the revisions uploaded by the retoucher(s) on the existing file inside the platform
Use the side-by-side compare or before/after compare buttons to the right of the image
At the top of the left-side panel, change "Unresolved Comments" to "All Comments" to review all comments left in any previous rounds
Approving an image
When the latest revision is complete and no other changes are needed, approve the image.
Three ways to do it:
From thumbnail-view: right click → Approve
From thumbnail-view: single click the thumbnail or thumbnails to approve → click the checkmark at the bottom of the screen. This is best for approving more than one image at a time.
Inside the markup view: click Approve at the top-center of the screen
Common mistakes to avoid
Leaving multiple unrelated retouch requests in one long comment
Reviewing the wrong round
Dragging in a document instead of attaching it with the paper clip
