Is VeryBusy a DAM?

Updated over a week ago

Q: Is VeryBusy a digital asset management system (DAM)?

A: While projects can live within a workspace indefinitely, so long as there is available storage (and you can add as much storage to a workspace as you want to pay for), VeryBusy is more of an active project management tool designed for the review and approval process. Think of it as the bridge between the photoshoot and the archiving platform or DAM.

Some users do upload entire shoots to the platform in order to collaboratively make selects with other stakeholders. To mitigate the impact on storage, they may only upload medium res jpgs. Once selects are made, full resolution files can be uploaded, and so long as the file names are within VeryBusy's parameters for stacking, they full res file will be placed right on top of the medium res file. Read more about those parameters here.

We are currently researching integrations to help streamline the process of transferring files to DAMs or other archiving systems.
