You can now assign assets to invited people to your project to make ownership clear, help managers track progress, and ensure everyone knows what files they’re responsible for.

This feature helps reduce confusion in large projects; keeping feedback, retouching, and approvals tied to the right person throughout every round of review.

🔒 Assigning Assets is available on Team Plans only.

How to Assign Assets

You can assign assets from two main screens:

1. From Asset View (Batch Assign)

  • Select one or multiple assets in your asset view.

  • Use the “Assign To” button on the asset thumbnail or right-click menu

  • Choose one or multiple teammates to assign from the project list.

2. From Markup View (Single Assign)

  • Open the asset in Markup View.

  • Click Assign To to assign that individual asset to a teammate.

Tip: Assigned users are visible right on each asset’s thumbnail. . Hover to view the full list when there are more than three.

Who Can Assign

Only Project Owners and Managers have asset management permissions to assign or update assignment. Learn more about asset permissions

Editing or Removing Assignments:

  • Assignments can be added, updated, or removed at any time.

  • To change assigned users, open the same Assign menu.

Assignees

  • Multiple users can be assigned to a single asset.

  • You can assign anyone who’s already invited to the project; regardless of their role.

  • Pending invites won’t appear in the list until they’ve accepted the invite to join the project.

Filtering & Tracking Assignments

Use filters to help collaborators and managers stay on top of their work:

  • Assigned to me – see the assets you’re responsible for

  • Not assigned – find assets that need ownership

  • An option for each person in the project – view work by teammate

Filters make it easy for retouchers to focus on their tasks and for managers to track progress across large projects.
