Direct Mentions

Direct mentions are made in Markup View and streamline communication by notifying collaborators immediately when their attention is needed on a specific task or comment. By typing @ followed by a collaborator's name, you can ensure that person gets a targeted in-app and email notification, making it easy to:

  • Highlight critical feedback or requests

  • Avoid miscommunication by directing specific questions or actions to the right person

  • Keep the workflow efficient by reducing the need for follow-up reminders

This feature is especially valuable for time-sensitive projects where quick responses are essential to keeping things on track.

To direct-mention a collaborator in a comment, type @, followed by the collaborator’s name and select the user from the menu that appears. That person will receive a notification in-app and via email that you have mentioned them in your comment.
