Workspace-level users

Workspaces are assigned to you when you create a free trial. When you subscribe (i.e., pay to use) to verybusy.io, your subscription will be associated with your workspace, and it's in your workspace where you will manage your subscription and workspace members. You may also be invited to join a workspace as a member; this will allow you to create projects that count against the workspace's storage.

There are a couple roles you may have as a member of a workspace. See below.

Workspace Administrator

(Requires verybusy.io account and paid workspace subscription)

  • Full access to the workspace and its resources.

  • Manages users, projects, subscriptions, and payments.

  • Typical users: internal producers, project managers, or freelancers.

Workspace Member

(Requires verybusy.io account and paid user seat)

  • Creates and manages projects that count against the workspace's storage

  • Access limited to invited projects they've created or those to which they've been invited.

  • Typical users: co-workers, project teammates, or internal teams.

Project-level users

Projects are created inside workspaces but can be shared with anyone regardless of their workspace association. That is, one does not need a paid workspace or to be a member of a paid workspace in order to collaborate in projects.

There are a three roles with a project. See below.

Project Owner

(Requires membership in a paid workspace)

  • Creates the project in verybusy.io

  • Can make comments and markups, change labels, approve, download, and delete assets from a project.

  • Can remove members from a project

  • Typical users: retoucher, art director

Collaborator

(Requires verybusy.io account, 100% free โ€“ no workspace membership needed)

  • Joins projects via email invitation.

  • Must create a verybusy.io account for access (does not need to be part of a paid workspace).

  • Can make comments and markups, change labels, approve, download, and delete assets from a project.

  • Typical users: clients and external retouching teams.

Guest Collaborator

(No verybusy.io account needed, 100% free)

  • Reviews content through a public review link.

  • No sign-up required; must provide name, email, and role when entering a project for which they've received a link.

  • Can make comments and markups, change labels, approve, download, and delete assets from a project.

  • Typical users: clients and external collaborators.
