Mixed Billing Seat Add-Ons

Add seats to your workspace on a monthly or annual basis, regardless of your plan's own billing period.

Add seats to your workspace whenever you need them, independent of your plan's own billing period.

How it works

To buy a new seat:

  • Go to Workspace Settings > Plan and click "Manage Seats"

  • You'll need to choose the period type: Monthly or Annual

This choice is independent of whether your workspace plan itself is monthly or annual.

    • If you're on an annual plan and add an annual seat mid-year, you're charged a prorated amount for the remaining months in your plan year.

    • Your first monthly seat purchase sets your workspace's monthly billing date: that seat is billed from the day you add it, and your monthly billing period runs from that date to the same date each month (or the last day of the month, for shorter months).

    • Monthly seats added after that are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current monthly billing period, then renew on your workspace's monthly billing date until removed.

To assign an existing seat:

  • Go to Workspace Settings > Members and click "Invite Members"

  • You'll need to choose the period type: Monthly or Annual and the Workspace Role. Learn more about workspace members roles here.

Seat Types

The Members tab shows each workspace members and their seat type (Monthly/Annual) and the date it's active until, so you always know what happens if you remove it.

From the Plan tab you can see the detailed amount of each as well.

Removing a seat

  • Monthly seat: stays active until the end of the current monthly billing period, no further charge.

  • Annual seat: stays active until your plan's renewal date.

Good for

Seasonal spikes, short-term freelance help, or any stretch where you need more hands without committing to a full annual seat.

Who can do this

The workspace Owner can buy seats with a period type.

Workspace Managers can assign available seats, either Monthly or Annual.

If your organization has a separately signed agreement with VeryBusy (such as a Cloud Service Agreement and Order Form), seat purchases and billing are governed by that agreement.
