Download a CSV of Filenames in a Project

You can now export a CSV with filenames, status, and a timestamp of last activity of your project. This can be useful for documenting project state, sharing inventories with stakeholders outside VeryBusy, or archiving offline.

Available in all plans.

How to download the CSV

  1. Open the project you want to export

  2. Go to the 3 dot menu on the right corner, next to Share Project & click Download CSV option

  3. A file named [ProjectName]_files.csv will be downloaded onto your hard drive

💡 The CSV reflects only the files currently visible. If you have filters or a search applied, only the matching files are exported.

What's in the CSV

Each project asset shows up as a row. Columns are fixed.

CSV formatting notes

Fields containing commas, quotes, or line breaks are properly CSV-escaped. Dates use ISO 8601. Labels stay in a single cell with a consistent delimiter. Output opens correctly in Google Sheets and Excel.
