VeryBusy now supports importing assets directly from your Dropbox account. This makes it easier to bring in files shared by clients or stored in team folders—without ever leaving your project workspace.

🌟 Why it Matters
By connecting Dropbox directly to VeryBusy, you can:
Kick off projects faster – Import assets directly from client-shared folders without downloading files locally
Stay in flow – Access and upload files without switching tools or interrupting your workflow
Reduce errors – Avoid version mismatches or missing files caused by manual transfers
Collaborate more smoothly – Ensure that the source of truth stays intact from Dropbox to delivery
This integration is designed to streamline the earliest steps of retouching projects—especially when assets live outside of VeryBusy at first.
If Dropbox is part of your team’s daily workflow, this feature should reduce setup time and keep your work moving with fewer handoffs.
📄 What File Types & Sizes Are Supported?
Only compatible files will be enabled for selection within the Dropbox picker. Unsupported files (based on type or size) will be greyed out automatically.
If you attempt to import a batch and some files fail (e.g. due to limits or corruption), they will be flagged under “Completed with Errors” with details.
📁 Tip: Select Files Within Folders
When importing from Dropbox, you’ll be able to select individual files inside folders, but not entire folders at once.
This is a current limitation of Dropbox’s integration capabilities.
We recommend opening the relevant folder and selecting the files you need, or using Dropbox’s search to find specific assets more quickly.
⚠ Disclaimer: Versioning & File Handling
Files with identical names will still be auto-stacked in rounds.
Smart Rounds do not apply to files imported from Dropbox, they'll be uploaded as new assets. At this stage, we don’t support appended text (ex: "_v2") filename detection for rounds.
❓Troubleshooting
I don’t see the option: Make sure you have upload permissions on your project's role.
Files fail to import: Hover over the error icon in the status drawer for details (e.g. unsupported format, file too large).
Stuck in loading: Try refreshing the project view or check your Dropbox permissions.
