File size & large file support

You can upload and preview files up to ~3.5 GB , depending on the format.

Here's what to expect:

PSD / PSB

Generally handle large sizes well. However, PSB files saved with "Maximize Compatibility" turned off in Photoshop may not display a preview in VeryBusy. This happens because Photoshop didn't save a flattened composite inside the file — so VeryBusy has nothing to render.

Fix: In Photoshop, go to File > Save As and make sure "Maximize Compatibility" is checked before saving.

TIFF

For TIFFs, what matters isn't the file size — it's the canvas dimensions. Canvases above roughly 30,000 × 30,000 px may not preview correctly, even if the file itself isn't especially large.

RAW (NEF, ARW, CR2, CRW, DNG)

RAW files are supported and previewed. Display quality may vary depending on how the file was exported from the camera or editing software.

Supported but not previewable

The following formats are fully supported for upload, download, and sharing — but won't display an inline preview as image thumbnails.

  • EIP

What happens if a file can't be previewed?

If a file exceeds these limits or is an unsupported filetype, the file is still uploaded safely. You can download it, share it with your team, and include it in rounds. It just won't show a preview.
