Before uploading images, you need to create a project. VeryBusy is structured around projects because each project holds its own set of assets, feedback, and revision rounds. This keeps every batch of work contained in a single place, from the first upload through every round of review.

⚠️ Important: Only users on a 30-day free trial or those who are members of a paid workspace can create projects. For more information on workspaces and setting them up, see Creating Your Account & Workspace Setup.

Steps for Creating a Project

1. Start from the My Projects dashboard

When you sign up and log in for the first time, the My Projects page will be empty. You will see a large tile in the center that says Create First Project. You will also see a blue Create Project button at the top of the dashboard.

Both options open the same project creation modal.

2. Create Project modal

Click Create Project or Create First Project.

A modal will appear with two required fields.

  • Project Name

  • Where are you starting
Choose whether you are beginning with unretouched images (R0) or uploading the first round of retouching (R1).

Once these fields are complete, you can create the project.

3. Expand Advanced Options (optional)

Select Advanced Options to add more information. These fields are optional.

  • Client Name
    Appears on the project thumbnail.

  • Start Date and End Date
Shown in Project Settings once the project is created.

  • Collaborator Groups
Invite groups already created in Workspace Settings. You can add or change collaborators later from the Share Project button. Learn more here.

  • Label Groups
Apply predefined label groups already created in Workspace Settings. You can add these later. Learn more here.

4. Create the project

When all required fields are filled out, the Create Project button becomes active.
Select it to create the project and move to the upload step.
