Deleting Projects

Project Owners and Workspace Owners can easily delete entire projects from workspaces, either to free up space or because the team no longer needs access.

To delete a project from Project View:

  1. Select the thumbnail of the project you wish to delete.

  2. Click on the trash can icon at the bottom of your screen.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

To delete a project from Settings:

  1. Click on your avatar or initials at the top right of the verybusy.io interface.

  2. Click Settings

  3. Click on the Workspace to which the project belongs.

  4. Navigate to the Projects tab

  5. Locate the project you wish to delete

  6. Click on the three-dot menu on the right hand side of the project line item

  7. Select "Delete"

❗ Note: Deleted projects cannot be recovered.

Hidden Projects

To tidy up your project dashboard without deleting the project from your workspace:

  1. Select the project.

  2. Click the Hide icon. This removes it from your dashboard but keeps it accessible for others.

❗ Important: Hidden projects still impact your storage and account billing.

Transferring Ownership of Projects

There are several reasons for which you might want to transfer ownership of a project. For instance, you may be leaving an organization or you may wish to assign the project to a different workspace for billing or storage reasons.

To transfer ownership:

  1. From your Project Dashboard, double click the thumbnail of the project you want to delete.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the blue "Share Project" button.

  3. Choose "Project Settings".

  4. From the options on the left of the modal that appears, choose "Transfer Ownership".

  5. Select a new Owner (must be someone who is a current collaborator in the project and must have a paid subscription to verybusy.io).

  6. Type a message (optional).

  7. Press "Transfer".

The new project owner will receive an email notifying them that they have a new project in their workspace. Keep in mind that transferred projects impact workspace storage, and the need for additional storage could increase the cost of a monthly subscription.
