Markup View Overview

Markup View is where you provide retouching instructions and communicate with project collaborators. To access Markup View, click on any image thumbnail inside a project.

An example of Markup View.

Once in Markup View, the dark blue bar at the top of the screen will display:

  • Breadcrumbs: These show the project you’re in and provide quick navigation back to the project dashboard.

  • Filename: Displays the name of the current image.

  • Round Dropdown: Allows you to view previous rounds of the image.

Right-Side Panel Tools:

  • Compare Rounds: Compare the current round to the previous round.

  • Hide Markups: Toggle markups on or off.

  • Zoom: Use the plus and minus signs at the bottom left or use keyboard shortcuts (cmd/ctrl + + or -).

Bottom Bar Tools:

  • Labeling: Add or update a label for the image.

  • Priority: See or change the priority of the asset.

  • New Round: Upload a new round of the image.

  • Approval: Mark the asset as approved (the thumbnail will turn green in Project View)

  • Download: Download the current image or the current image + all previous rounds.

  • Delete: If you uploaded the last round, you can delete it. If you are the project owner, you can delete the entire asset.

Comments Panel:

Comments are organized chronologically based on the round they were made in. You cannot change the order of comments, but you can:

  • View Filters: Switch between "Unresolved Comments" (default) and "All Comments", displaying resolved comments from previous rounds.

  • Navigation Tools: Switch between the brush, line, arrow, and rectangle. When using the pointer (black arrow) tool, clicking on a markup highlights the corresponding comment. Also, clicking on a comment will highlight a the corresponding markup.

  • Brush Settings: Modify brush color and size.

  • Undo: Undo the last mark (cmd/ctrl + z).

Each comment includes:

  • Avatar and Timestamp: Shows who left the comment and when.

  • Seen By: Hover over this to see who has viewed the comment.

  • Markup Indicator: A blue brush icon next to a comment means there is a markup associated with it. Clicking the comment zooms you into the markup on the image.

  • Direct Mentions: To direct a comment to a specific collaborator, type @ followed by their name. They will receive an in-app and email notification.

⚠️ Note: For more information on and tips for managing comments and markups, see Commenting and Marking Up.
