\We know how overwhelming inboxes can get, especially when you're juggling multiple projects. That's why verybusy.io offers a simple way to mute notifications for projects that don’t require your immediate attention.

Muting a project helps you reduce noise without missing what’s important—you’ll still receive notifications for any @mentions.

How to Mute a Project

  1. Locate the Mute Bell
In the upper-right corner of any project, you’ll see a small bell icon.

  2. Click the Bell
Clicking the bell will immediately mute notifications for that project. The icon will change to indicate the project is muted.

  3. Enjoy a Cleaner Inbox
With the project muted, you’ll no longer receive general notifications. However, @mentions will still come through, ensuring you stay in the loop when needed.

How to Unmute a Project

Need to re-enable notifications? Simply click the bell again, and notifications will resume as normal.

Why Use the Mute Feature?

The mute feature is perfect for:

  • Projects you don’t actively manage but want to stay partially connected to.

  • Reducing notification clutter while focusing on what matters most.

Remember, muted projects won’t block @mentions, so you’ll never miss a direct callout.
