Markup View is where retouching instructions are made and correspondence with your project collaborators takes place.

Access Markup View by clicking on any image thumbnail inside a project.

Along the top of the screen in the black bar, you will see:

  • Breadcrumbs that show the project you're in, along with your project dashboard, so you can quickly and easily navigate

  • The filename

  • A dropdown for viewing previous rounds

Along the right-side of the image, you can:

  • Compare the current and previous round

  • Hide markups

  • Zoom in to assets with the plus and minus sign bottom-left or use your keyboard (cmd/ctrl and + or -)

Below the image, a display bar provides some essential tools:

  • Add or update a label

  • See/change priority

  • Add a new round of the asset

  • Mark the asset approved

  • Download the asset

  • Delete the last round of the asset (if you were uploader) or delete the asset (if you are the project owner)

In the comments panel, comments are displayed according to the round in which they are left. They are arranged in chronological order, and that cannot be changed.

Within the panel, you can:

  • Change the view from Unresolved Comments (default) to All Comments, displaying all previously resolved comments (note: resolved comments do not disappear until a new round is uploaded).

  • Change your navigation tool from the brush to the arrow (tip: by selecting the arrow and clicking on a markup, the platform will highlight the corresponding comment)

  • Modify your brush color and size

  • Undo a mark (or use cmd/ctrl + z)

Within each comment you will see,

  • The avatar and name of the person who left the comment, followed by a timestamp indicating when the comment was entered

  • "Seen By", which upon hovering over, you will also see a list of people in the project who have viewed the comment since it was made

  • You may see a blue brush next to the comment, which indicates there is a markup associated with the comment; clicking on the comment will zoom you into the markup on the image.

To direct a comment at a specific project member, direct-mention them. Type @, followed by their name. They will receive a special in-app and email notification.

For information on all of the features and controls in this section of the platform, see Making and Managing Comments and Markups in Markup View.
